Everything you done for us - Yong Wei & Lai Peng Anniversary Love Portraiture

Yong Wei and Lai Peng wanted to have a 1 anniversary photoshoot, at first we thought of doing something different in UPM farm but they decided to have the shot done in our Le Petit Studio, I guess the props they had brought over fits well with our interiors, something cozy and sweet. Which is nice for us because they can focus more about their relationship in this air-conditioned environment. Like usual, Lai Peng hand made all her props again just like how she did in her wedding day, so we slowly set up the props one by one and had a great time together. Lai Peng got very emotional with the beloved session and she cried again, and after the session I received a message from Lai Peng that Yong Wei almost cried too during the session. We just love to shoot a session like this, very true and sincere, nothing that is over done or act upon, all these emotions are real. Thanks for them for trusting my believe from day one, hope to create more theme for you guys very soon.

Where the Journey Begins - Jerry & Carmen Love Portraiture

After Jerry & Carmen had their ROM a while ago, we went to their high school for some love portraitures, both of them were actually studied in the same school in Kuala Lumpur Maxwell High School. The place has a unique colonial touch to it so we revived many of the old stories which brought them back to over 10+ years ago during their high school times. During the old days, love was very pure and naive, where Jerry and Carmen used to exchange lunch box and giving surprises to one another, as told by them, both of them used to be naughty kids, so we went back to their old classroom for some pictures, and head to a classroom to revived many of the things that they did before together. It was nice to capture those as I being the one who is going to walk through many of their journey together, its like an intensive get to know each other session for me. Also I did a small movie for them before the slideshow to add some spices. :)

Love's like a beautiful blessing - Rob & Chuen Church Wedding

Though Chuen look very strong but she does cries, touched by the holiness in this vintage setting of St. Andrew's church. It is different from the Pangkor garden wedding, this day is pretty much quite a quiet and holy event, where people came over to witness the beauty of love, all pure and emotional. Due to the feeling I had on this day, I extended the slideshow to provide a different feeling, starting from active and hyper theme, then slowly moving to an emotional theme for the dinner in pangkor, then moved to a peaceful and holiness theme for the church wedding, making the slide a complete one, a gradual residing feeling from start to the end. It turned out the slide over 15 minutes long, simply too many nice pictures to show lol. This church is one of the tough ones to cover where we given a very restricted access to many places but thanks to my shooter Ben, it turned out pretty well that day. Another blessed day for Rob & Chuen. Love to see her smile, and Rob did had the same impression, that she really look like a mashimaru when she smiled.

Love's like a beautiful Flare - Rob & Chuen Wedding Ceremony in Pangkor

Waited for a while to capture this wedding, yes an island wedding reception, what else more to complaint, beautiful sunset, nice crowds and pretty aunties. We just had lots of fun today. To be honest, small weddings is something I love most where I love to see close friends and close relationship mingling around with laughters and tears. Though this is not held in pangkor laut next door, but what they have to offer is the beautiful sunset, and I asked my friend who is the manager of this hotel, it just cost Rm25,000 to held such a beautiful garden wedding. The only worries is just the logistics to get everyone to this island, hehe. It is better to hire a wedding planner for this.

Shoot Rob & Chuen's pre-wedding a few months earlier, where Rob is an American born taiwanese, and Chuen met Rob in the States. Beautiful Chuen, she just look pretty even without a lot of make up on her (yes she didn't hire a make up artist), all they wanted is just the fun and laughers, even marching in with casual slippers is something a lot funnier than ordinary. It is an honor to capture one of the successful dad (unable to disclose here) daughter, where he took a few days off to witness her daughters wedding day. I did not had lots of time to swim, like always, I just couldn't get over with that I am actually working. Maybe next time. Now I need to rush back home the next day and create a slideshow for them. Another church wedding of theirs is coming up 2 days later.

The Westin Wedding Fair

One day I was asked to participate for a wedding fair and just happened I was free on this day. At first I did not expect that I was selected as one of the 16 photographers in Malaysia for this event. First time ever in history, where a wedding fair focuses mainly in photography, its time to put the works to a test and I learned something great today. The test that I was mentioning was trying to see how the couples made their final decision to select us. We get to meet a lot of couples this morning and to be honest, it is hard to address everything that we strive to pursue here with so limited time span. The only thing that we can manage to sell are just beautiful pictures, not really the message behind the pictures we tried to created, therefore I know that I need to redo my booth next time, making it easier to break the barrier, giving the first impression simply not enough and couples that dropped by can only understand a little bit about you and simply do not have enough time to educate.

There are simply many things can be done with given 10x10ft of space and we understand that showing beautiful pictures will no longer being an effective method for us, reason being we do not just sell pictures, we are selling an idea.

Thanks to Westin for giving this opportunity to allow us to grow and to experience. We wanted to thank you all for giving your support for us. It's simply amazing. :) We need to thank the team and my family that helped out today. Simply will be a very tiring day if I did this alone. Thanks to mom and dad that helped me during the morning setup, Kevin Tan for your accompany, lunch and some snaps, Cliff and Brenda who came over for some support. Really feel great for the team.

Over The Rainbow - Jerry & Carmen ROM in Carcosa

Going step by step to complete Jerry and Carmen's wedding assignments, from pre-wedding in Japan, to this ROM ceremony in beautiful Carcosa Sri Negara, and later their couple portrait to remember their school days, and lastly their wedding day. All with different specific themes. Since I have made the pre-wedding an elegant one, this time just its something fun and cheesy, with some sweet colors since they opt for a rainbow theme. Many of my friends had asked me why they use a rainbow theme, I guess mainly because it is a day that this couple able to mingle together in a small group, those friends in the pictures are Carmen's very old friends and they called themselves "crazy gang", it is a very meaningful ceremony, where everyone able to sit together, enjoying a cup of tea, and most of the crazy gang peeps stood forward to share a little bits of their friendships and ended most of them cried, lots of laughter and tears, thanks to the very popular MC we had on that day, William, who made the event a meaningful and humorous one.

Unforgettable Encounter - Joseph & Vee Ann Wedding Day

It was an unforgettable encounter for everyone, Joseph had his unforgettable encounter during the gate crash where has to eat all the weird local foods in Malaysia, which considered a tasty food for the locals. A groomsman of Joseph actually commented that the pig tongue actually quite tasty. For my unforgettable encounter was meeting the bride. Vee Ann is a unique bride where she love to jump around, doing moves, hyperactive and cheerful, everything has to have an amount of freedom in space for her, so she actually picked a very comfy gown for the wedding day, which I personally love it very much. Just love the crowds on this special day, everyone was very cheerful and fun. For the slideshow, I figured that the wedding was quite fun and lots of humorous contents, so I made a different slideshow to this very day, and the slide was pretty much simple, to make everyone laugh, in a humorous way, and the crowd that night was laughing out loud, I guess it was a success lol. It was such a nice day to end the wedding, simple and nice, cheerful and lots of laughters.

Dog Portrait - Chacoal & Picco Dog Portrait

Our family used to be a dog pet owner, our first dog Duffy passed away when she was 14 years old and Brandy passed away when he was 14 years old as well. Dogs have been a great companion for us for over 25 years and my parents are unable to be responsible for another dog because of their age. Since after both had left us, my family had missed having one so much and even went to take care of a stray dog near our home, and once in a while visit some pet shops to recall back old memories.

For a sudden I recalled, we simply do not have a proper photo with our dog, and over 25 years we did not have a single family portrait, whenever I realised its simply too late for that. Therefore, in order to keep the love going, I have thought about taking dog portrait assignments as we simply have too many memories with them. Dogs just click with us.

So this day, thanks to my friend who allow me to capture some photos of her dog to kick start the plan. I am sure you will able to relate our heart with you in the picture. Do let us know if you keen to have one with us. Cheers.

Love to mingle with them and thanks for all the trust and support from the headmaster and teachers here. True Unity - Anderson & Jasmine Church Wedding

The moment I went into Jasmine's room and ready to cover her make up session, I spent almost the whole morning staying inside her room covering all moments that has occurred inside. In between make up, Jasmine was not feeling well as she was suffering with gastric pain, due to the suffering, she could not eat anything during the morning, she had her renuka honey in her room but still not helping. Due to this fact, her parents was very worried about her and I asked her mom to do a short prayer for her and she did, and moment of closeness just poured from then on. As Jasmine is going to leave Malaysia and live in Australia with Anderson, I guess Anderson has done a great job for gaining the trust from her parents. I was a rare moment in the room, and Kevin was covering downstairs alone until Anderson had reached. I guess that short moment we had together, I felt a great joy that I was able to be there with them, covering those intimate moment prior to Anderson arrival.

Thanks Jasmine and Anderson for everything, hope to catch up with both of you during my next Australia trip.
